According to the judges at the prestigious Bent Mind Spiral Arm Beerfest, among time's most discerning connoisseurs, Trelixir could well be the reason the Hole in the Head remains open all year as it possesses all 15 of the proteins necessary to maintain life and cutting off the supply is, technically, murder.

Trelixir Beer has been produced in the town for over 2851 years and The Hole in the Head is open to visitors who wish to discover more about this proudly independent village resource and its strange effects.

When you visit Trepanning, your guide takes you through the heart of the pub to the caves, enabling you to see how beer is mingled in natural processes from barley and from hop to well! En-route you can gaze into the traditional springs where lemonade and ginger beer spurt from the rocks. Of course, there's also the chance to sample some Trelixir, though you may require a full set of insurances and a council fire certificate. The whole visit, including tasting, takes approximately one and a half weekends.
